Dance Group from La Cienega Charmes in La Virgencita

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. The Dance Group of the Ninos Heroes Elementary School, from the community of La Cienega, charmed the spectators in the atrium of La Virgencita tonight, in the celebration of the 15th years of being parish. The gifted dancers provided us a nice program of dances from the states of Puebla, Morelos, Chiapas, Michoacan and Nayarit. In this way, they showed us that there are very talented people in our communities. In addition, at the intermissions, members of Franciscan Youth and the Secular Franciscan Order told us about their activities within the parish of the Three Hail Marys.

Rondallas Conquer At the Virgencita Celebration

The rondallas Notes of Passion and Voices of the Heart conquered the public, on the second night of celebrations of the erection to parish of La Virgencita. Romanticism showed up at the atrium of the temple, because of the beautiful lyrics, tuned guitars and educated voices. Inspired by the atmosphere, one of the members of Voices of the Heart requested an opportunity to his ex-girlfriend, who was among the people.
At 8: 00 p.m., the concert began with the rondalla Notes of Passion. Because of work obligations we arrived late, when they were saying good-bye. However, we enjoyed the performance of the rondalla Voices of the Heart. It interpreted "Here I Am", "Wendolyne", and "I Like You" among others. Later, the rondalla Notes of Passion got into to the podium and together they sang "Until Where I Love You" and some more. Individually, each rondalla appeared for the last time to close the night.

DIF Continues Collection for Rehabilitation Center

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Sunday, October 9, 2011. The Municipal DIF System continues the collection for the construction of the Rehabilitation Center of the Northeast Region of the State. This Sunday, since early hours, DIF members set up a stand in a corridor of the Main Square, to communicate to people the goal of raising 7 million pesos, to make the dream come true. They also mentioned that on Sunday November 13, at the Matamoros Esplanade, the First Ludoton will be held, with the participation of artists from the region, with the intention of raising funds for the same purpose.
The center is needed to care for the disabled in northeastern Guanajuato, which includes Doctor Mora, Atarjea, San Jose Iturbide, Victoria, Xichu, Tierra Blanca, Santa Catarina and San Luis de la Paz. It is planned to be built in our city, at the corner of Velasco Ibarra and Dr. Mora. So far, there are nearly 3 million pesos raised. As soon as a bank account is set up, we will make it known, so those who live away from San Luis de la Paz can make their contributions.

ITESI Promotes a Science and Educational Technology Expo

This afternoon, Professor Guillermo Rodriguez Contreras, President of the Board of ITESI, invited us to the Matamoros Esplanade to visit the stand for the promotion of Science and Educational Technology Expo, sponsored by his institution. There, among young people who were having fun putting together educational toys, he reminded us that the event will be held from October 12 to 15, at the Atenas Hall.
At the Expo, there will be interactive workshops on science and technology, construction and programming of robots workshops, robot competition, and pavilions of innovative materials. There will be a Rondallas Night for the Benefit of the Parish Caritas

The international Voces Magisteriales Rondalla and El Secreto Rondalla of the CBTA will perform. The price of the tickets is $25 pesos, and they are for sale in the San Luis Rey Parish Bookstore. All are invited to cooperate for this noble cause, and at the same time enjoy a romantic night.

La Virgencita Begins Celebration with a Ballet

La Virgencita began tonight the celebration of its 15th years of erection to parish, with the performance of the Folkloric Dance Company of San Jose Iturbide. The group of the neighboring town offered an attractive program of dances from the State of Mexico, Guerrero, Chiapas, Jalisco and Hidalgo, at the parish atrium. Previously, the Ducoing Morin siblings delighted the dozens of people present with a dance representation of the state of Jalisco.

With Stories Entertains Mario Ivan Martinez

Mario Ivan Martinez, considered the best Latin American storyteller, entertained children and adults with the narrative of "Legends of Ancient Mexico," this afternoon at the Matamoros Esplanade. Using masks, puppets, dance, and a sublime physical expression, the recognized actor and singer performed "The legend of the volcanoes" and "The legend of the opossum and the sun." His performance was thanks to the State Institute of Culture and the Ludovicense Cultural Center.

To celebrate the opening, at 12:30 p.m., Father Sergio Ramirez blessed the brand new restaurant, in the afternoon the Montalvo and Moon duet performed, and the whole day there was promotion of pizzas and a bouncing castle for children. Family, friends and regulars were present.

The Town Honors San Francisco

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Tuesday, October 4, 2011. The town, but in particular La Banda neighborhood, honored San Francisco in his temple today. At 6:00 a.m., the people along with the San Francisco group awakened him with the traditional morning happy birthday singing. At noon, there was a pilgrimage from the Alameda to the church. Various communities, a dance group and Father Lorenzo Nunez Ramirez, rector of the temple, participated. Once they arrived they celebrated a Holy Mass. In the evening and night there were dance groups, commercial stands, Mexican food, mechanical games for children, fireworks, music in charge of the San Francisco group and a burning castle.

The History of the Temple of San Francisco

OUR HISTORY. SAN LUIS DE LA PAZ. - At the end of the Mina Street, is situated the temple of San Francisco, pride of La Banda neighborhood. This church was built in the early 20th century, where previously there was a chapel dedicated to the same saint, dating from the Viceroyalty period. The blessing ceremony and placement of the first stone took place on May 5, 1913, according to a document that provided us Angel Lino Arredondo (+), who was chronicler of the city, and whose relatives were some of the godfathers of the event.

The Rotary Club Recognizes The Distinguished Citizens

Six people of the municipality, 4 women and 2 men, were awarded in various areas. The winners were: Narciso Ramos Alvarez, J. Concepcion Teran Uribe, Sara Gutierrez Carbajo, Lorena Rios Hernandez, Guadalupe Sanchez Uribe and Lorena Zarazua Rios. Furthermore, they delivered the award "Citizen of the Year San Luis de la Paz 2011" to the brothers Mauricio, Jose Omar and Pedro Alonso Garcia Hernandez.

Tonight, the creators of Sanluisdelapaz.com, Mauricio, Jose Omar and Pedro Alonso Garcia Hernandez, received the "Citizen of the Year San Luis de la Paz 2011" award from the Rotary Club San Luis de la Paz, during its "Distinguished Citizens San Luis de la Paz 2011" awards ceremony, at the Moon and Sun Hall, located at Allende Street. As a result, we feel much honored; because we never intended to receive a prize for making the webpage. We only wanted to share with the ludovicenses who live all across the planet, that which occurs daily in our beloved town.
This achievement is not only ours, but also of many people. Cecyteg Queen Candidates Conduct a Caravan

The Cecyteg queen candidates conducted a caravan through the streets of San Luis, after 8:00 p.m., to present themselves to the ludovicense society. On top of cars, the beautiful girls, of whom we were able to read the names of Fany, Aime, Jessica, Luz, Mariana, Nancy, Yazmin, Lupita, Rosalba, Mady, Carito, Fatty and Judith, greeted people in their path. They were escorted by raucous supporters, expressing their joy with banners, balloons and screams. The tour started from Railway Avenue, passing through Ninos Heroes, the Main Square, Hidalgo, and Sierra Gorda Boulevard and ended at Mr. Cactus, where there was a disco night. Good luck to all!

Javier Becerra Makes His Second Government Report

A Sterilization Campaign is Conducted

The New Criminal Justice System is Presented

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Monday, September 26, 2006. At noon, in the former Culture Center, it was presented to the ludovicense society the New Criminal Justice System in the State of Guanajuato. Staff of the Technical Secretariat of Criminal Justice of Guanajuato and a Control Judge provided the conference. The most prominent figure are the oral trials. Members of various media organizations, City Hall employees, agencies, and individuals interested in this topic attended. Preliminarily, the same talk was offered to the municipal delegates.
