San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Domingo, 18 de septiembre de 2011. El Señor del Mezquitito, que se venera en la Parroquia de la Virgencita, disfrutó su fiesta este día. Para la celebración, lo movieron de su vitrina a la izquierda dentro del templo, y lo instalaron en el altar. A las 7:00 a.m., los vecinos lo despertaron con las mañanitas. A mediodía, lo llevaron en peregrinación desde el templo en construcción del Señor de la Divina Misericordia hasta la Parroquia de las Tres Ave Marías. Por la tarde, hubo danzas que bailaron en ambos lados del atrio. Igualmente, la banda “La Escandalosa” de Dolores Hidalgo tocó para el beneplácito de los ahí reunidos. Por la noche, participaría el grupo San Francisco y se quemarían fuegos pirotécnicos. Hubo misas a través de la jornada. En nuestra visita, el Párroco, Juan Manuel Betancourt González, nos regaló una copia de la historia del Señor del Mezquitito. Con gusto la compartiremos con ustedes en los próximos días.
The Lord of the Mezquitito Enjoys His Feast
San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Sunday, September 18, 2011. The Lord of the Mezquitito, who is revered in the Virgencita Parish, enjoyed his feast today. For the celebration, he was moved from his showcase, located on the left inside the temple, and was installed in the altar. At 7:00 a.m., the neighbors woke him up with the morning happy birthday singing. At noon, he was taken on pilgrimage from the unfinished temple of the Lord of Divine Mercy to the Three Hail Marys Parish. In the afternoon, there were dance groups that performed on both sides of the atrium. Also, the Escandalosa band from Dolores Hidalgo played for the enjoyment of those gathered. At night, the San Francisco group would participate and fireworks would be burned. There were masses held throughout the day. During our visit, the Parish Priest, Juan Manuel Betancourt Gonzalez, gave us a copy of the history of the Lord of the Mezquitito. We will gladly share it with you in the following days.
