San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Today, we begin a series on our queens of the fair through the years, from 1963 to 2011. We begin with the ones from the 60s, as it is the earliest period of which we have information and images. In this decade, we only have photographs of 4 of them: Elvira (1963), Maria Teresa (1964), Maria Luisa (1965) and Nic-Te-Ha (1968).
In those years, the fair was held at the Matamoros Esplanade and then Matamoros and Jimenez Streets and the Internado Field. The formal dances were performed at the Cave of the Lions Club. There were not as many activities as today.
