San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Friday, April 6 2012. The living Via Crucis organized by the San Luis Rey Parish shook the Ludovicenses. Hundreds of them faithfully followed Jesus this morning, from the Matamoros Esplanade to La Montanita neighborhood, where he was crucified. They lived with anticipation each of the fourteen stations which included the program. We extend our admiration to the organizers and volunteers who participated.
Pastor Raul Ramirez Montoya was present in the staging, just like the other priests from the parish. It was an act that invited us to reflection; since Jesus is the perfect example that giving yourself to others is the true reason of life.
Once Jesus was sentenced in the Matamoros Esplanade, the path to the Calvary started at 11:06 a.m. The tour followed this path: Main Garden, Jimenez, Tajo, Arroyo Colorado, Cubilete and La Montanita.
We witnessed among many things: how Jesus carried the cross, fell three times, Simon the Cyrene helped him, Veronica cleaned his face, he comforted women, was crucified and handed over to his mother. At the end, 12:42 p.m., we were invited to attend the Procession of Silence this evening, starting at the Temple of San Francisco at 7 p.m.
