San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Monday, March 4, 2013. Maria Eugenia Carreno, President of the State DIF System and wife of the state governor, awarded homes to people who are part of the “Different House” program, in the regional closing held in the community of San Nicolas del Carmen. She was accompanied by Emma del Carmen Rodriguez Estrada, President of the Municipal DIF System, Nancy Amador Villegas, Director of the Municipal DIF System, and Timoteo Villa Ramirez, Mayor of San Luis de la Paz.
The “Different House” program helps families to build decent housing. It operates through the combined efforts of the state and municipal DIF systems. In the symbolic delivery today, some properties had an open house, ribbons were cut, certificates were presented to families, and speeches were pronounced by public officials. In total, 40 houses were awarded today. 15 more dwellings will be granted later.
