The Best of 2011

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Saturday, December 31, 2011. 2011 came to an end. On this day, our mind travels through each of the past 12 months, and we return to live each of the events which we witnessed.  To remember is to live again.

Just like since Sanluisdelapaz.com was created more than 11 years ago, in 2011 we focused on religious festivities, cultural and civic events, traditions, history, places of interest in the municipality and daily life of the ludovicense people, which are the things that our countrymen who live far away miss the most.

Therefore, through photographs, videos and articles, we covered the cultural agenda of the year, we visited touristic and unknown places for many people, we carried out historical research, we attended most of the parades and national observances, we lived the Holy week, the regional fair, and the pilgrimages.

For the first time since we started, we did a live broadcast from another location, when we transmitted through audio, from Dallas, Texas to the world the concert for Mother’s Day, offered by the Rondalla Voces Magisteriales, at the Guanajuato House in that city.

In seeking to share with the people what daily takes place in our land, we received in October the 2011 San Luis de la Paz Citizen of the Year Award, given by the local Rotary Club.

But for us, rather than the events that we witnessed and this award received, the best of 2011 were you, the people who daily follow us faithfully, and accompany us in this cyber adventure. Thank you fellow Ludovicenses!
