San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Thursday, November 15, 2012. Two years ago, left to the meet the Lord, our great friend and teacher Don Ricardo Soltero “The Chemist”, one of the greatest San Luis de la Paz citizens of all time people.
Don Ricardo, as several times we have mentioned, was a collaborator and the historical advisor of Sanluisdelapaz.com, from 2001 until the day of his death, on November 15, 2010. Many of his teachings are alive in our website.
The day that he died, San Luis de la Paz suffered an irreparable loss. To recognize the work of Don Ricardo, a few pages are not enough, we need to write a whole book; because his 86 years of existence were a never-ending cascade of personal achievements and contributions to the community.
Among his multiple qualities, he was a magnificent photographer, historian and tourist guide. For these reasons, in 2002 he was awarded the State Prize “Guanajuato Teaches with the Example”. Rest in peace our dear friend and teacher. We miss you!
